Anyone that's heard of the show Once Upon a Time knows actress Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen from the hit ABC show that ran for seven years. She has amassed an incredible and loyal fan following since that show that ran from 2011 through 2018. Her fans call themselves the Evil Regals.
On the show, her character, Regina Mills was the evil queen in the magical realm and was known as Regina Mills in the cursed town of Storybrooke that she brought everyone to after casting the Dark One's dark curse. She wanted to get back at Snow White, played by Ginnifer Goodwin for getting the love of her life killed when Snow was only a child.
Over the seven seasons of the show, Regina's character evolves more than any other character on the show. With the help of the "Savior" otherwise known as Emma Swan, played by Jennifer Morrison, Regina eventually becomes someone good. She does it for her adopted son, Henry, played by Jared Gilmore. Morrison played Henry's biological mother whom he brought to town in an effort to defeat the evil queen.
That is all about to change. This past Thursday, June 3, 2021, was the premiere of Why Women Kill Season 2, starring none other than the Evil Queen we all know and love, and she is once again playing a woman with some serious anger issues.
Her name is Rita Castillo and she is not a woman you want to mess with. Just ask her husband who in the first episode of the season took a serious fall down a long flight of steps. Now, he's lying in a hospital bed, likely to never regain full use of his body again. Would you want to toy with a woman like her? I know I certainly wouldn't.
If you are looking for a great show, full of drama to fill your summer nights now that the fall season has ended, then Why Women Kill is a good place to start. From beginning to end, the show is going to surprise you. I don't suggest missing anymore of it and you can catch up on the first two episodes anytime on Paramount Plus.
